neuropsychologist in the National Hospital for Neurology
and Neurosurgery, London, and subsequently worked in the
National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire with
children and adults with acquired brain injuries,
neurological disorders, and spinal injuries. My
specialist area is assessment and treatment of acquired
brain injuries in children and adults, and treatment of
people with progressive or neurological disorders. I have
also many years experience in working with people who
have survived traumatic events, with or without a brain
injury. I worked for many years with the St. John of God
Brothers, in the areas of learning disability, mental
health and geriatric services. I have also lectured in
TCD and UCD. I have been called to court as an expert
witness many times, in relation to medico-legal cases. My specialist
interests include post-traumatic stress disorder and
